Drought Management & Water Conservation
Drought conditions can affect water availability across Pennsylvania, impacting homes, businesses, and natural resources. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), along with state and local agencies, monitors conditions and issues drought watches, warnings, and emergencies as needed.
During these periods, residents may be asked to voluntarily reduce water usage or follow temporary restrictions to help protect water supplies.
