Gaga Ball Pit at Miller Park

What is Gaga ball?

Gaga Ball is a fast-moving game played in the pit, where players use their hands to hit the ball and try to avoid being hit below the knee.
Did you know? “Ga” means “Hit” in Hebrew.

Rules/How to Play:

  • Up to 6 players may be in the pit at one time.
  • Players begin with one hand on the wall, and the game starts once the ball is tossed into the center and called into play.
  • The ball may be hit with an open or closed hand, but it may not be thrown or held.
  • A player is out if the ball hits them below the knee, if a ball they hit is caught in the air, or if they are the last player to touch the ball before it leaves the pit.
  • For safety, no sitting, standing, or jumping on the pit walls is allowed.
  • Waiting players should line up at the fence.

Gaga Ball Availability

Gaga balls are available at the Township Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own balls, especially when using the pit outside of those hours.

Please play safely, have fun, and enjoy the park.
